What You Getting Into

You are accessing a system that is designed to provide you with 40 hours designed to satisfy Georgia's EMS continuing education requirements.  The service is provided free and without warranty.  It is your job to ensure that you have the appropriate content hours required by the State Office.  The education you are purchasing meets the rigid requirements set forth by the Georgia State Office of EMS for continuing education (Rules and Regulations, Chapter 290-5-30-.13 where it specifies 4 hours of content in each of two content areas: Cardiology and Trauma, and 8 hours in Pediatrics) and distributive education.  There are different curriculums depending upon your training level (EMT-B, EMT-I, CT, or Paramedic).  The same material can also be used to satisfy your Georgia Firefighter annual recertification requirement for one year (any of the medical courses will count towards the 6 hour medical requirement, and there are 20 hours of non medical courses that apply to all Firefighters and Airport Firefighters).   National Registry regards this material as ‘Distributive Education’ (click here to learn more about that).  A Licensed Georgia Level III EMS Instructor developed the materials that will respond to your emails or discussion board postings within 48 hours. In lieu of a certificate, GeorgiaEMSAcademy.com provides you with a transcript that you can use as proof of successful completion of a course (which occurs whenever you successfully pass a test with a score of greater than 70%).  The lessons in the library are designed with the intent of making you better at what you do, which is serving the public and saving lives.
