AGE:  20 YEARS
REASON WHY YOU WERE DISPATCHED:mvc
COMPLAINT: left foot pain
SUBJECTIVE:20 yr old male was in a mvc. c/c was left foot pain.
OBJECTIVE: a.o.s to find patient standing next to the car. car was on its side and the air bags did deploy. assisted pt to the stretcher. cut pts sock off left foot. noticed swelling but could not feel crepidus at this time. found no distal pulse. pts toe nail was off on his left big toe. air bags did deploy and pt was wearing seatbelt.
TREATMENT:cleaned wound to left toe and wrapped foot with a sterile wrap. splinted pts foot. performed rapid trauma. no life threats. only found swelling to left foot. took vitals. no current meds. no medical history, nkda. transported to closes ER.
